Machinery & Equipment Safety 101
Almost every workplace has machinery and equipment that if not properly maintained, serviced and inspected could become a potential hazard causing severe injuries or occupational illnesses. Part 16 of Manitoba’s workplace safety and health regulation has several requirements workplaces must have in place in order to be in compliance with the laws. This workshop will give participants a general understanding of things to consider when purchasing, maintaining, servicing, or inspecting machinery and equipment in regards to safety and health. Discussions include but not limited to;

• Equipment Hazards
• Preventable maintenance
• Contractors
• Inspections
• Lock out/ Tag out
• Documentation
This course is geared towards, owners, managers, workers, maintaince personnel, custodians, contractors, or anybody who has a general interest or responsibility when it comes to working around, servicing, inspecting, general maintaince or repairing of machinery or equipment in their workplace.
